My painting "The Oxbow" was awarded First Place in the Women Artist of the West online Fall 2026 Late Show!

Jurors Any and Andy Krane owners and publishers of the Art of the West Magazine juried the show, and wrote "We were drawn by the serene palette, the depth, the subtle details that bring the eye through the piece, the vast beauty, and use of light. It came together in a stunning painting."
I was part of the 2026 Colorado Governor's Art Show and Sale at the Loveland Museum, April 25th through June 6th.
It's a consistently amazing show that is pretty much focused on realism, but there's always a surprise or 2 around every corner of the exhibit.

“I particularly like how the cattle cut right through the middle of the painting, separating the horizon and the foreground. It draws your eye right into it and you can almost see the cows moving out of the frame.” show judge Robin Knowlton.
I'm honored to have been awarded first place in the Women Artists of the West 2025 online "Early Show" Associate competition, for my oil painting "Gathering Sweetgrass".
Judge Naomi Shachar, WAOW Master Signature Member, wrote "This painting is successful in so many ways. The sensitivity of values and colors gives us the vastness of the landscape. The little details tell a story, making it so much more than a landscape painting, setting a mood. Less is more. Everything works together to make this a wonderful painting."
"Gathering Sweetgrass" was also awarded "Best Oil" at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum 44th Annual Western Spirit Art Show and Sale, March 8 through April 19, 2025, in Cheyenne Wyoming. The show is the premier annual juried art show in the Rocky Mountain Region for established artists who create original art interpreting the American West. The show also included a separate exhibit called the Vandewark Miniature Show.
I had also been juried into the 2025 Colorado Governor's Art Show and Sale, which was on display at the Loveland Museum, 5th and Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colorado. The Colorado Governor’s Art Show & Sale one of the largest fine art shows to exclusively feature Colorado’s top fine artists.
