I'm honored to have been awarded first place in the Women Artists of the West 2025 online "Early Show" Associate competition, for my oil painting "Gathering Sweetgrass". (at right) 

Judge Naomi Shachar, WAOW Master Signature Member, wrote "This painting is successful in so many ways. The sensitivity of values and colors gives us the vastness of the landscape. The little details tell a story, making it so much more than a landscape painting, setting a mood. Less is more. Everything works together to make this a wonderful painting."

"Gathering Sweetgrass" was also awarded "Best Oil" at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum 44th Annual Western Spirit Art Show and Sale, March 8 through April 19, 2025, in Cheyenne Wyoming. The show is the premier annual juried art show in the Rocky Mountain Region for established artists who create original art interpreting the American West. The show also includes a separate exhibit called the Vandewark Miniature Show, where I'll also have two landscapes for sale. 

I'm also very excited to report that I've been juried into the 2025 Colorado Governor's Art Show and Sale, which will be on display at the Loveland Museum, 5th and Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colorado. I'll have two large and two small paintings in the exhibit.

The Colorado Governor’s Art Show & Sale one of the largest fine art shows to exclusively feature Colorado’s top fine artists. The 34rd Annual Governor’s Art Show runs from May 2nd through June 14th.
