An early morning scene in western Nebraska, cattle are grazing in the fields, the Platte River is behind the trees, and cranes are overhead flying to their nearby migration stopover. The clouds are breaking up after an overnight storm.

A small group of cattle meandered away from the main herd and found themselves in a much finer meadow among the cottonwoods of the Colorado high country.

A group of cattle are being herded home by a lone person walking behind them. Its early evening and the swallows are out, hunting overhead in the golden, late light of the day.
